Vanilla sweet cream cold foam3/23/2023 This is your vanilla sweet cream! You can use this in coffee drinks if you want as it makes a delicious add-in, tastier than plain cream or milk. If you don't have a mason jar, you can just stir all the ingredients together in a bowl. Once you've either made or bought the vanilla syrup and you have your cream and 2% milk, you're ready to whip up the cold foam!Īll you have to do is add the milk, cream, and vanilla syrup in a mason jar and shake to combine. If you want a more intense vanilla flavor, you can leave the bean in after 6 hours. Place syrup in fridge and let steep for at least 6 hours. Scrape out some of the seeds from the sliced open vanilla pod with a sharp knife and add them and the vanilla bean into the syrup. Pour syrup into a heat-proof jar or container. Lower heat and let mixture simmer for about 10 minutes until sugar is completely dissolved and mixture has thickened a bit. Start by putting water and sugar in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. I have an entire post detailing the syrup-making process, but I'll also share the directions here. But you can make it well in ad if you wvanceant since it lasts for about a month in your fridge. If you're making your own syrup, you should note that while it's super easy to make, it does need time to steep for maximum flavor. Once frothed, it's a bit lighter and foamier than whipped cream and, in my opinion, it has a sweeter and more vanilla-forward flavor. Whatever the case, I ordered a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew and absolutely loved it.Īnd when the Chocolate Cream Cold Brew came out, I immediately tried and loved that, too, and recreated it at home. Or maybe because I heard that it added awesome vanilla flavor to drinks. Maybe it's because the name made it sound so delicious and refreshing. And though, yes, it's a bit similar to whipped cream, I was immediately attracted to it. Then, a couple of years ago, Starbucks introduced sweet cream cold foam. I can't fully explain why, but I do know that when I order a drink at Starbucks, I always order it without whipped cream.
